A fun indoor/outdoor activity for toddlers and kids is to make bird feeders out of pinecones. We worked outside so I let him get a little messy so my toddler had a BLAST making these.

As a small business owner myself, I always want to support local when I can. During "regular" times, I had to make the best decisions for my family on how and when we could. But if there's a silver-lining to all the craziness in the world, it's that what little money I can spend outside our house, I want it to stay local. It's more important now than ever to support our locally-owned small businesses.
One activity Little Man has enjoyed is making "Cheerio Bracelets". This is great for toddlers because it works those fine motor skills. But what is a Cheerio Bracelet? It's just Cheerios (or any other round similar cereal (like Froot Loops) strung onto pipe cleaners (chenille sticks) and twisted into a bracelet.

Play doh! Play doh! PLAY DOH! The number one activity in our house during this lockdown time has been playing with Play doh. A quick wipe of the kitchen table, and we're ready to dump out all of the scissors, rollers, molds, cutters, and squishers and get down to business. Right now, we are on Day 15 of our "self-quarantine". I use that term because only this past Monday (3.23.2020) were we given a "stay at home recommendation" from our governor.
So, I'm interested in sharing some activities and recipes I have during this time while we're cooped up in the house with our 2 year old. I belong to a #boymom group on Facebook and I'm following trends I see of what mom's are looking for. My hope is with being able to spend some extra time to edit and curate content, I can provide mamas the link to this blog to share ideas more. As right now, I sometimes can't go into detail and give moms the ideas and support we need in this time. And shamelessly, I'm tying my blog to my online store for My Little Monster Boutique. In November 2019, I told myself I was going to commit more to my store and 2020 my goal was to get some regular products available. It would be remiss of me if I didn't use some of my new found time to further improve my business. Best, Chelsea |
