Last, but CERTAINLY not least is the various companies part of the Livingston Bridal family. These include:
These are all the brain-children of one Roxanne Livingston, a rockstar in the Southern NM event planning world. I've been fortunate enough to know Roxanne for quite awhile - she took in this poor, senior in college desperate for an internship, helped coordinate and execute our wedding vision (including my dress, bridesmaid dresses, suits, invites, and more), and has been a great mentor and supporter during my journey as a small business owner. Here's a rundown on the Livingston Bridal fam:

Our Thanksgiving plans usually include going to family's for dinner - I'm not the turkey roaster. LOL. But since we're staying safer at home, we had to make some alternate Thanksgiving plans.
We decided to order the family pack Thanksgiving dinner from Salud de Mesilla. What attracted us to the Salud meal was:
We were so ready for dinner, I didn't take pictures, but it was great! Nothing crazy fancy, which on a day as traditional as Thanksgiving, nobody needs to be getting all fancy with the mashed potatoes. Portions were great. Everybody left the table fat and happy. Honestly, before today, we had never eaten at or from Salud de Mesilla before but we'll definitely be working them into our rotation more often now. The staff was very friendly and polite when I called to order, when they confirmed our order the day before, and at pickup. For more information on Salud de Mesilla, check out their Facebook, website or @salud_mesilla on Instagram. Today for my "Shop Local" mini-series, I'm featuring several business! Get A Little Western, ChocoBerry Sweets, Shiny, Shimmering Nails, and Real Life Beauty. ALL of these are home-based businesses run by some SUPER mom bosses!! Women owned, mom owned, and local, how can you go wrong?!
Home-based businesses are no less important than brick-and-mortar local businesses. By supporting these mommas (and other local businesses) you help them pay bills, stay at home with kiddos, pay for dance lessons, or even make ends meet while they're on UNPAID maternity leave!! *Ahem* Myself included come March. All the more reason to keep your money local and not in big corporations. Next up in our week of small business features we have El Indio Tortilla Shop and Mexicatessan.
Everyone has their own opinion on best tortillas, salsa, tortilla chips, Mexican food, etc. Especially around here!! But I would always encourage you to try something new!! Buy Local or Bye, Local! As we prepare for Small Business Saturday and the holiday shopping season ahead, I wanted to highlight some of the awesome local small businesses around Las Cruces that we like to support. Each day this week I'll be featuring one local business.
